For 2013 fall, Black Scale returns with the “Life and Beauty” lookbook that explores the concept of beauty amid life and death. There is the usual use of paisley, stained glass patterns, and religious symbols via the dynamic onslaught of graphic prints, snakeskin and leopard prints adorn varsity jackets and pullovers. Meanwhile, Black Scale’s satirical stars and stripes logo is featured on sweatshirts and hoodies, while the exploration of multicolored camouflage and the Mona Lisa holds undertones of grace and restoration that further punctuates the collection.
