Ab-Soul’s third studio album, These Days…, hits stores in less than a week. It’s been a long time coming for the Carson, California rapper who saw his last project, the critically acclaimed Control System, come out in May 2012. For Complex’s new series, Fire Conversation, we wanted to to get down with Ab to talk about his album and what inspired it. But as often is the case with Ab, it got much deeper than that. Soul clarified that he’s not actually signed to Interscope, talked how he enjoys sipping lean, and even found time to compare TDE to Death Row. Check out the interview above.
