A “True Story” with G-Eazy
G-Eazy is from the Bay Area, but while he enjoys and has respect for Oakland’s distinctive hyphy culture, he’s aiming to show the region’s versatility. He looks like he’s prepping for a role as James Dean, and raps in his own distinctive tone. Simply put, G prides himself on his individualism. “I’m happiest when I’m in the studio creating,” says the rapper who grew up as the son of two parents he describes as both artists and teachers, “That’s what matters, is just the music.”
