Oakland’s own Jidenna stopped by 106KMEL yesterday to preview some tracks off of his debut album ‘The Chief’ with Shay Diddy. With the project dropping this Friday, Jidenna revealed the importance of it being two-fold; not only is it releasing on the anniversary date of his father’s passing, but it’s also the end to the anxiety he’s had over the past decade in turning his art to reality and a whole lot more.
