The upcoming kicks are laden with animal prints and other canine references, including textured fabrications and specific colors that mimic a true stroll in the dog park. Along the upper, several layered compartments evoke the puppy narrative, including a spotted Dalmation pattern at the quarter, a back heel coated with pony hair for a furry aesthetic and green suede overlays to resemble grass. –HB
The sneaker is wrapped in a tonal blue upper, constructed from mesh, nubuck and canvas in different shades of blue ranging from light to dark. The stand-out feature of the silhouette — and the inspiration for its name — is the “Have a Nike Day” taping that wraps around the entire shoe. The sneaker is then finished with white embroidered Swoosh branding, a full-length white midsole, a blue air unit and a Swoosh-adorned smiley face on the lacing unit. –HB
Shared via famed sneaker insider Yeezy Mafia, the new addition to the YEEZY BOOST 350 V2 arsenal will be dressed in fan favorite black from its Primeknit upper all the way down to its BOOST-assisted midsole; even the laces will take on the tonal palette. However a subtle hit of color appears on the heel pull tab, seeing red stitching running throughout. Finally a translucent side stripe in lieu of the classic SPLY-350 banner completes the over-all look of this pending release. –HB
The “Speckle Pack” sees white, black and red pairs of the soft textile-mesh wrapped NMD R1 pair up with premium touches of suede and contrasting sole plugs that are set off with the all-new speckle print. Suede also appears on the heel and is overlayed with the classic NMD rubberized heel tab and pull tab, which features text that continues to wrap around and define the sleek silhouette. Read more…
Following an abrupt release during Travis Scott’s GRAMMY performance, Jordan Brand is now gearing up for another release of the Jordan 1 “Cactus Jack.” Expressing the tones associated with La Flame’s signature aesthetic, the upper features a mix of brown nubuck and white leather accented by an interesting backward Swoosh design. The upper also comes complete with a hidden stash pocket at the stitched ankle collar. Priced at $175, these are set to re-release May 3rd. –HB
A melting pot of races, ethnicities, and cultures, Serrano wished to highlight the key component that makes the Big Apple what it is today: its population. Reflecting this sentiment is the shoe’s gradient upper, comprised of different skin tones. Dashes of mint green found on the Swooshes, the tongue logo and the laces on one side is a tribute to the Statue of Liberty, complemented by a grey cracked leather mudguard — a reference to NYC’s urban streets. These will release globally in April. –HB
The AJ1 “Panda” is executed in monochrome (like its namesake animal) with alternating black and white panels blending fur (black) with grain leather (white). A black outsole, sockliner and laces keep the shoe understated, while the white “AIR JORDAN” badge offers a splash of contrast against the rear patch of fuzz. A normal “NIKE AIR” tag on the tongue completes the playful design. Keep it locked in for the release next month for $160. –HB
