Nike Air Max 97 “Unboxed”

To pay homage to the cardboard boxes used to ship sneakers, this AM97 model is dressed in various tones of browns on its wave-pattern upper, while a barcode placed on the outsole adds a final nod to the packages being scanned before shipping. The barcode motif then carries over to the right heel tab, while stripped tongues symbolizes the tape Nike uses for online orders. Located on the insole is a stamp of Nike‘s box certification from its Memphis factory. –HB

Dressed in “Desert Ore/Desert Ore/Hyper Jade-Bright Mango,” you’ll find suede and nubuck touches throughout its monochromatic upper, with its lateral and medial Swoosh logos done in bright mango. The collection’s deconstructed theme is carried out thanks to the unfinished edges, shifted tongue tabs, industrial-like stamp on the medial sides, and a signature zip-tie. These are rumored to arrive on January 17 for $160. –HB

Nike React Element 55 “Yellow”

Releasing in a clean combination of pale colors, the white-based upper is paired with grey hits and a pastel-like yellow that fills the Swoosh, lacing stays and heel branding. The React Element 55 most notably differs from its counterpart with the implementation of a mesh-like material on the upper as opposed to the translucent TPE featured on the React Element 87. While the release date has yet to be confirmed, you can expect this colorway to be dropping in the near future for $155. –HB

Nike Air Max 97 “Panda”

Nike‘s Air Max 97 has been taking the lead as the most popular model since its 20th Anniversary in 2017. Drawing ideas from the contrasting fur colors of the Chinese national heirloom, the Swoosh brand juxtaposes black and white leather stripes on the upper of the bullet train-like silhouette. The neat white sole houses the Air-assisted unit while Swooshes on the tongue tab and on midfoot round off the look of this edition. Stay tuned for more information. –HB
