This time around, the sneaker combines different overlays of suede and textile for the upper, coloring each panel a different shade of dark green. Also seen on the sneaker are different grey layers underneath the green, as well as Nike’s branding on the tongue patch and along the side. The entire look is finished off with a textured white rubber sole resting below the upper. In celebration of the German Reunification’s 25th anniversary, Nike is set to release an aptly named colorway of the Air Pegasus ’89 runner. The retro silhouette’s upper has been rendered in a camouflage combination using the Bundeswehr’s and NVA’s respective patterns. Further commemorative detailing is seen along the insolewhich features the Brandenburg Gate in addition to the dates 1990 and 2015. Rounded out with a contrasting white midsole, the limited edition Nike Air Pegasus ’89 “German Reunification” will be available for purchase starting October 2nd.
