Nike is dropping the Air Max 90 Winter in a clean ”Medium Grey/Medium Grey-Natural Grey” colorway to match the impending grey weather ahead. This model is titled ”Grey Suede” as a reference to the shoe’s neutral, light grey-colored suede upper with matching suede Swoosh, tonal laces, a white midsole and gum rubber outsole with traction suitable for slush and rain-spattered pavements.
Spring 2014 is set to make the Nike Air Max 90 the center of Nike’s “how do we make it better?” design ethos, and the Swoosh is getting started with the introduction of the Nike Air Max Lunar90. Unveiled and made available late last night, the Air Max Lunar90 features Nike’s latest cushioning technology, Lunarlon, as well as visible Nike Air, and boasts a no-sew upper for better fit and movement. Amid the various material and structural updates currently utilizing the Nike Air Max 90 as a base, the original silhouette has gone back to basics with a few simple all-suede color-ways. This is the third example of an entirely suede AM90 utilizing a tonal upper with a pop color coming in on the ankle/sockliner and outsole. This one is Dark/Medium Grey and Volt, a combination that has worked for the Air Max 90 successor in the 95.
