adidas Originals Continental 80

adidas Originals has released its latest shoe, the Continental 80, as part of its ongoing “YUNG” series. The archival shoe was originally released in the late 1980s — hence the name — and gained popularity lately because of its similarity to the YEEZY Powerphase sneaker. A one-for-one reproduction of the original shoe, it uses a grain leather upper with perforations on the toe box and to the side. The key detail is blue and red trim detail to the side. adidas Originals‘ NMD R1 model continues to grab attention despite its long run in the sneaker scene. The first NMD R1, dubbed “Trace Cargo,” boasts a light green camo print at the upper and olive EVA bumpers, while the “Grey Four” edition takes on a darker shadow palette. Both pairs feature a full-length BOOST midsole for that classic look and support, while branded heel pull tabs add that extra Originals touch. Read more…

Centered around bright “Energy Aqua” and “Trace Orange,” the new looks utilize the popular glitch pattern devoid of the usual Three Stripes branding. Free of branding, the shoes sport a minimalist look with the tonal Primeknit upper accented only by its texture patches and a TPU heel badge. While a full-length BOOST midsole with embedded TPU bumpers and a rugged rubber outsole round up the design of the shoes. Read more…

Releasing as part of its “Red Carpet” capsule, this time around the EQT Support 93/17’s stretch-textile and breathable mesh upper is done in pure black with matching luxe suede and leather details serving as accents. The contrasting red of the shoe comes in the form of red lace tips and a red rubber outsole sitting below the black full-length BOOST midsole found on the shoe. Priced $190, this is available now. –HB

NEIGHBORHOOD x adidas Originals NMD R1

This eye-catching design features a black sock-like upper with high-contrast hits of white at the stitching, NEIGHBORHOOD Brigade branding and shark-tooth motif — the same pattern seen on the duo’s 2015 Boston Super OG sneaker. A murdered-out, full-length BOOST midsole completes the slick colorway while also providing the premium comfort and cushioning we’re all familiar with. The NEIGHBORHOOD x adidas Originals NMD R1 will release on February 24 for a retail price of $200. –HB

adidas Originals “Kamanda”

Dubbed the “Kamanda,” this is our first look at the contemporary design gives way to a black suede-constructed upper with a contrasting hit of white landing on the heel collar. Metallic gold branding appears on the side region, while the eye-catching sole unit features an interlocking groove characteristic. Although not much is known about the shoe, an Instagram post via designer Woern Dauerfeuer points towards football-inspired roots. Stay tuned for updates. –HB

The low-top model draws similar design cues to the shock pink variant teased by adidas VP Jon Wexler. For this rendition, the sneaker boasts mint green uppers, black cage overlays, and a crisp white BOOST sole. Colorful co-branding details are also observed on the heel portions of each pair. Of course, the most unmissable detail are the Chinese characters for humanity embellished on the uppers. –HB
