adidas Originals has returned to its P.O.D-S3.1 silhouette for two new colorways, including a clean “Triple White” design. The second colorway comes with a black base, which is offset by pops of color on the vamp, collar and heel. This colorful detailing includes teal around the collar, blue and red around the lacing system and pink tags underneath the adidas-branded heel tab. These will release via the adidas web store on October 18. –HB
Dubbed the “HEART/MIND,” the upcoming look sports a mix of purple and pink expressing the same striped design we have seen on previous releases. Likewise, the Kanji script associated with Pharrell’s adidas shoes is also utilized on the vamp of the shoe to offer a touch of embroidered contrast. Despite the loud look of the forthcoming release, branding is subtly displayed on a set of tacked on leather patches at the heel. Stay tuned for an October release. –HB
Featured in a light grey hue, this premium leather and suede silhouette is a clean alternative for those who usually reach for a darker color palette. Though the model was initially rumored to drop this fall, according to Yeezy Mafia the “Salt” colorway will now drop a month later in November for $200 USD. adidas Originals has continued dropping new POD colorways, and this time it comes in a classic two-tone option. The upper uses a knitted textile construction, reinforced by structural overlays and finished off with a branded heel tab and the iconic Three Stripes mark. The sole, which comes in white, uses EVA and BOOST technology, combining that with a durable rubber outsole. The POD-S3.1 releases on August 2 from adidas’s web store. –HB
This tribal-inspired set features two colorways of a grey and yellow upper with a red outsole, and a teal and grey upper with an orange outsole. adidas Originals has released its latest shoe, the Continental 80, as part of its ongoing “YUNG” series. The archival shoe was originally released in the late 1980s — hence the name — and gained popularity lately because of its similarity to the YEEZY Powerphase sneaker. A one-for-one reproduction of the original shoe, it uses a grain leather upper with perforations on the toe box and to the side. The key detail is blue and red trim detail to the side.
