Nike continues to roll out new colorways, and iterations of its Air Foamposite One sneaker model, the latest being a flashy metallic gold rendition. Having been seemingly dipped in a shiny penny-like dye, the sneaker’s upper flaunts a flashy shade of gold, further exacerbated by the grooves throughout. A black tongue and icy blue outsole complete the basketball shoe. A full run will be stocked at NSW spots like Sneaker Politics come March 14 with a set price tag of $230.
The final iteration in Nike‘s All-Star series this year is the Air Foamposite One. Clad in a nearly all-over chrome construction, the upper is at the same time embossed with the silhouette’s signature wavy indents. Metallic embellishments on the tongue and heel perfectly complement the shoe’s eye-catching aesthetic, while a translucent icy blue sole rounds out the bottom. Although available in-store at KITH NYC, the sale is ticketed and has unfortunately all tickets have already been handed out.
Here is a detailed look at the iconic Nike Air Foamposite One in the “Triple Black” colorway due to be released this Friday. A level of sophistication is brought to the revolutionary silhouette with the refined colorway, combination of materials and the attention to detail. Priced at $250 USD, the “Triple Black” Foamposite One will be available at select Nike accounts on August 29th.[more…]
Three shades of black make their way to the Air Foamposite One as Nike Sportswear introduces a clean “Triple Black” edition of the iconic silhouette. Reimagined for the streets while keeping all of the original Foamposite design cues intact, the “Triple Black” Foams see a unique nubuck-inspired finish for an element of sophistication never before seen on the rugged silhouette. The Air Foamposite One “Triple Black” is set to hit NSW retailers August 29 for $250.
The Nike Air Tech Challenge line is one that’s getting all sorts of love from the Swoosh in 2014. There’s the return of OGs like the Nike Air Tech Challenge II, there is the porting over of prints from that era onto new silhouettes like the Nike Zoom Vapor Tour 9, and then there is the borrowing of the line’s prints for retro silhouettes. The Nike Air Foamposite One here of course falls into that last category what with its Air Tech Challenge IV inspired build. Not much is surprising about Foamposites these days, but the recent re-emergence of the “Shooting Stars” PE is enough to get our attention. While a release hasn’t been confirmed, it wouldn’t be as much of a surprise given the recent track record of out-of-the-box Foamposite colorways. Add in the fact that these production samples apparently have a product style code, and there’s even more reason to lean toward a confirmed release somewhere down the line. We’ll let you know for sure if these do intend on releasing, so in the meantime, enjoy this latest set of imagery and give us your opinion on a potential release of these once Penny Hardaway exclusives. – Box Kev[more…]

Graphic Foamposites will go to a whole new level next year with the release of this, the Supreme x Nike Air Foamposite One. Not only do the shoes represent the recent trend of printed pairs for this hallowed Swoosh silhouette, but they also suggest a possible future wherein collab Foamposite releases are regular. Granted, Supreme are near the top of the list as far as Nike partners who can pull of pretty much anything, so we aren’t exactly expecting every sneaker boutique across the land to get their own pair. See more on them after the click and tell us in the comments if you’re feeling the red or the black more. [more…]
