Stepping up the whole family’s sneaker game, Jordan Brand is set to release the Air Jordan 5 Retro “Flight Suit” in a new “Blue Suede” make. The velvety shoe sees the royal blue colorway from the midsole and netting to the laces and eyelets. The shoe is then complimented by added black hits on the lining, a metallic silver tongue and a translucent rubber outsole. Reflective 3M material and Jordan branding can also be found on the tongue. Jordan Brand recently unveiled a lifestyle iteration of its popular Air Jordan 5 Premium, which is reminiscent of the AJ5 model seen in the “Take Flight” Pack released earlier this year. The Air Jordan 5 has always been a classic lifestyle model, but the “Pure Platinum” Air Jordan 5 Premium takes things a step further with its quality material construction. Its woven leather side panel, enhanced ‘Flight’ tongue tag and raised Jumpman found on the tongue, as well as heel give the shoe a unique luxury aesthetic. Gone are the days where Jordan heads would have to wait years longing for the return of the iconic Nike Air logo. Jordan Brand has been listening to the masses as of late, returning old silhouettes with their true respective features and the Air Jordan 5 is next in line. The Tinker Hatfield design is inspired by World War II fighter planes as its midsole sports a teeth-like design which can be seen on the aforementioned planes. Resting atop of a visible air unit, the Air Jordan 5 is mainly recognized for its oversized tongue, which here sports reflective 3M material as per usual. –HB
Following the “Desert Storm” and “Bred” colorways of the Supreme x Air Jordan 5, we present the best colorway yet. The white iteration is the third in the installment and features an all-white base reminiscent of the “Metallic Silver” Air Jordan 5. The collaborative kick is adorned with red accents on the midsole and lace lock, while “94” comes stitched on the heel. Jordan Brand introduces the latest “Hornets” rendition to the Air Jordan 5 Retro silhouette. Paying homage to Michael Jordan’s Charlotte Hornets franchise, the latest rendition of the Air Jordan 5 Retro borrows the Charlotte Hornets colors as a vibrant purple-blue coating adorns the upper and laces. Adjacent grey accents along the side panel and tongue balance the aesthetic as hints of light blue decorate the “Jumpman” logo and the midsole.
