Following up on this year’s “Red October” madness, this new November custom continues the trend. TheAir Jordan 5 “RageLab5″ Custom mashes up two notable colorways of the silhouette into a smooth one of one. Using the recently released Air Jordan 5 “3Lab5″ as a canvas and integrating the Air Jordan 5 “Raging Bull” style code, this flipped five creates a fiery appearance. Brought to life by Fetti D’Biasi, the token Jordan Brand elephant print that composes the entire upper of the “3Lab5″ is dyed red all the way up to the tongue. The spiking midsole design is also painted red, and the flexible netting and eyelets are turned black to go along with the midsole and laces. -Box Kev [more…]
While this new creation from Sekure D does utilize a bit of the infamous Tiffany colors, it certainly isn’t your run of the mill creation of that sort. Instead, the upgraded Air Jordan 5 “Grape” sports a handful of touches that have become synonymous with this Australian creator. There’s his robot pattern up front, a colorful asphalt print, and a slightly reworked “23″ hit in a font that feels intrinsically comic book-y (Remember that this release didn’t have the 23 embroidery in the first place). Details on the shoes remain slim, but the nickname here is one derived from that logo on the back, which sports the Chinese symbol commonly used to refer to that largest city of China. The Air Jordan 5 “Fire Red” is making another appearance this weekend. After many dubbed the White/Black-Fire Red Jordan 5 that released earlier this year the “Fire Reds,” the actual model is clarifying the market by coming out of the archives. Last seen in 2007, this AJ5 epitomizes a Chicago Bulls sneaker. Using a clean white base, this icon features Bulls red on the liner, midsole, and the “23″ stamp under the ankle. Hard black adds contrast on the tongue, top eyelet and midsole spikes. To set off the entire style code, an ice blue outsole chills every step. Are these “Fire Red” Air Jordan 5s a must have? Drop us a line in the comment spot below, and stay tuned to Young California for much more from this classic in the near future. [more…]
