Almost as interesting as the use of all-over elephant print on a model other than the Air Jordan III is the box tag on the so-called Air Jordan 3Lab5. That’s right, the material use in this case apparently as the sneakers classified as a whole different model as far as Jordan Brand nomenclature is concerned. Next up from those models is this pair, one that ends up subtler across the top thanks to the blackout choice but a bit more head-turning on bottom thanks to the very specific “Infrared 23″ tone. We’ve seen plenty of sneaker customs pay tribute to superheros, but it’s not too often that a villain gets to shine on your favorite footwear. This time around Freaker Sneaks take care of that with a “Cobra Commander” style Air Jordan 5. The shoes features the logo of that GI Joe baddie on the back side, some glossy sections to mimic the style of his black gloves, and a blue base that sticks to his overall color scheme. If you like what you see then continue reading for the rest of the photos and get in touch with creator Freaker Sneaks. -B0x Kev [more…]
A sequoia green shade separates the Air Jordan 5 “Fear” from the pack. The crackled upper stands somewhere between smooth, rough and oily, contrasted by flat accents on the matching mesh and also olive eyelets. A black tongue still packs 3M flash, blending in with the laces and lining and showcasing the red branding. The sole maintains the majority of the character, taking on a gradient fade and capped off in icy fashion. Check out detailed pics of the Air Jordan 5 “Fear” below and pick up these kicks today at select Jordan Brand accounts. –Box Kev [more…]
The Air Jordan V “Oreo” will release on November 29th with an MSRP of $160. The “Oreo” concept isn’t anything new to the Air Jordan Retro, with the 2010 release of the Air Jordan VI being the most recent rendition, but it certainly suits the Air Jordan V well thanks to the speckling detail on the sharks-teeth on the midsole. Full family sizes will be available for this Black Friday release, so enjoy the detailed gallery below and stay tuned to Young California for more updates on Jordan Release Dates. –Box Kev [more…]

The highly-anticipated trio of Retro Jordans known as the Fear Pack is currently on deck for later this month. The Air Jordan III, IV, and V have each employed a dark, mysterious colorway to best represent the fear that Michael Jordan put on his opponents, and in the Air Jordan V, Michael Jordan pretty much told the world that world dominance was just around the corner. The Air Jordan V “Fear” features a dark olive upper with a gradient on the midsole, with red accents surrounding the shoe for quite the impressive composition on this popular shoe.
