Nike’ Air Max 1 receives yet another colorway, this time sharing an ACG-like mix of black, silver, bordeaux, geode teal and a hint of yellow. This women’s exclusive release welcomes a combo or suede and leather overlays with a silver mesh appear at the toebox and ankle collar. Finally, Nike branding hits the tongue, heel and side panels to complete the simple design. These are currently available at select retailers for $110. –HB
Nike is ready for spring with the introduction of a floral take on the Air Max 1. An attention-stealing item made for warmer months, the style’s blend of “mint, orange and red” helped breathe new life into the shoe. Now, another exciting, unique spin on the Air Max line has emerged. This time around, a “hybird model” known as the Air Max 90/1 has surfaced. Notably, the shoe combines the Air Max 90 sole and the Air Max 1 upper. Concerning its color, Nike’s designers employed a clean mix of white and red. –HB
This time around, the Air Max 1 Jewel gets fitted in “Atomic Teal” — a luxe iteration that boasts an off-white suede upper, a teal suede mudguard and a metallic emerald-hued mini Swoosh. The sophisticated cream/teal upper sits atop a clean white midsole to keep with the classic Air Max look. Signature details such as a visible Air unit and a black rubber outsole stay true to the OG design, while special details such as matching cream laces and embroidered Nike branding at the heel tab add a little extra to the colorway. –HB
Nike is releasing a new “Solar Red” colorway of the Air Max 1 Ultra 2.0 Moire. The shoe perforated upper in black that sits over top the sneaker’s inside layer which sports a light red color. The sneaker also features red shocks on the inside of the air bubble beneath the heel as well as a light gray color for the Swoosh and Nike branding on the back and tongue. There are set to hit Nike Sportswear retailers and online sometime in the near future and is expected to cost $220. –HB
Next in line to receive the “Dark Stucco” earthy palette is Nike Sportswear’s most-beloved Air Max 1 Premium silhouette. The low-top sneaker is wrapped in a tonal series of olive, green, black and grey hues. As far as construction details go, the shoe receives a high quality concoction of heavy canvas, suede, and leather details all across the upper. Altogether, this pared-back rendition is a real head-turner and a must have for any AM1 fan. Expect an official rollout sometime in September. –HB
The Nike Air Max 1 has become an iconic silhouette, and the Swoosh has just outfitted the shoe in a classic “University Red” colorway. Featuring the red-hot primary hue all-over, the shoe sees the signature Air Max 1 features such as the Visible Air Unit. Completing the shoe is a white and red tongue tab and insole. Nike’s Air Max Day collection for 2017 is chock full of coveted kicks. Sure to be one of the drop’s most coveted designs is the special edition of the Air Max 1 Ultra 2.0. A nod to the aforementioned red look of the 1987 original, this take on the Air Max sports the familiar combination of red, grey, and white, but modernizes the construction with lightweight Ultra tooling and seamless overlays. Perhaps best of all, a celebratory nod to Air Max Day appears right on the tongue. Expect these to be available beginning March 16. –HB
