Making a retro return for only the second time in 23 years, the Air Jordan 6 “Carmine” is a classic. Since it’s original conception in 1991, the famed Air Jordan 6 has only returned as a part of the 2008 6/17 CDP. Consistent with the prototype up top, the deep red durabuck base and white leather overlays are steady, as are the black rubber tongue and midsole. New additions include a Jumpman symbol swapped in on the heels, and an ice blue outsole for a refreshing modern update. Check out the official photos below before they release May 24th. – Box Kev[more…]

Jordan Brand’s formula of bringing back OG colorways twenty-three years after its birth is no hidden formula, so next year’s Air Jordan VI drops should be rather predictable. That doesn’t mean we won’t be excited because the AJ6 is on legendary status with colorways like the “Carmine” bringing some distinct flavor to the heralded Air Jordan III-through-VI club. We can definitely expect said Carmine colorway to return in 2014, and although a release date hasn’t been confirmed, we know you’ll be keeping your eyes on this developing story. From what’s shown here in this super-icy pair, the OG box with the cement print and black top will make a return as well. Let’s hear how bad you want ‘em in the comments area below. –Box Kev [more…]
