DJ Mustard (REVOLT Unlocked)

From YG to Ty Dolla $ign and beyond, DJ Mustard’s singular production style has shaped an era of West Coast music. Despite not having vacationed since roughly 2011, Mustard somehow still manages to find time for daily retail therapy. Claire Sulmers, editor-in chief of online style destination Fashion Bomb Daily, chops it up with Mustard from atop his Rolls-Royce Phantom, where the two talked Goyard bags, Balenciaga runners and the importance of statement jewelry.

The hit-making producer made good on his promise with the release of ‘The Ghetto,’ his collaborative album with fellow West Coast artist RJ. The project comes via 400 Summers, a joint collaboration between Mustard’s 10 Summers and YG’s 4 Hunnid labels. With all that love, it’s only right that the trio link up on a track and a video. Peep the “Don’t Make Me Look Stupid” visual above!

Los Angeles producer DJ Mustard has been laying down beats for some of the biggest rap hits this decade, working with artists like YG, T.I., French Montana, Big Sean, Jeremih, Tyga, 2 Chainz, and Ty Dolla $ign. The common denominator between many of his biggest hits is the signature “hey” vocal chant that populates the background. From Ty’s “Paranoid” featuring B.o.B to Tyga’s “Rack City” to Big Sean’s “I Don’t Fuck With You,” Mustard has used these heys to build the beats of many Top 10 hits.
