San Francisco-based HUF returns with a new collaborative collection, this time centering around the iconic animated character, the Pink Panther, who made his debut back in 1964. The capsule, which comprises of apparel and accessories, finds the Pink Panther printed across short and long-sleeved T-shirts and coach jackets. Skateboarding and streetwear label HUF has partnered up with fellow West Coast-based label FTP for their second limited edition collaboration just in time for the Christmas season. In all the new 10-piece capsule includes a HUF Hupper 2 sneaker, a hooded jacket, a pair of track pants, two T-shirts, two 6-panel hats, a ski mask, socks, and a pair of slides. It drops today at noon and it’s available exclusively at the HUF online store. Get some gear!
HUF’s Plantlife socks proved to be a big hit when they were introduced approximately five years ago, with even bootleg versions showing up here and there. Now the skate brand is looking to capitalize on the popularity of Emojis, which was more recently spurred by celebrities making their own packs in hopes of cashing in some extra income. For this year, we see the duo unite again on some graphic heavy pieces that include skate decks, socks, sneakers, jackets, hoodies and tees. The main recurring motif for most of them are the flames and tiger designs, which give the range a very edgy and eye-catching look. The two labels by Keith Hufnagel and Satoru Taguchi channel ’80s skateboarding here and its good to see them represent the culture in such creative ways, especially by adding two cool skating clips in the mix — one set in Tokyo, Japan and the other in Los Angeles, California.
