The album’s seventh track “OSOM” (an acronym for “Outta Sight, Outta Mind”) includes a feature from J. Cole. Dave Free of “The Little Homies” and Jack Begert directed the cinematic music video, which now has over 11 million YouTube views. On the Pops and Crooklin co-produced track, Jay Rock raps about remaining calculated and focused throughout his journey to the top of the rap game despite life’s hardships.

While he was in NYC this past week, he stopped by the HNHH office to talk with us about the album. The album, not to mention Rock’s musical career, stalled a bit after he was in a serious motorcycle accident in February 2016. In our interview, we discuss how Rock thinks karma played a part in the accident, as well as how being broke financially results in a broke mentality, and how to get yourself out of that hole.

California’s own Jay Rock released his third studio album ‘Redemption’ in June. The album’s victorious closing track “WIN” is the second single released from the project, following the popular ‘Black Panther’ song “King’s Dead.” “WIN” features vocals from fellow TDE label-mate Kendrick Lamar, and Jay Rock also had the entire TDE crew join him for the official music video. The track, which is produced by CT, Boi-1da and Vinylz, has racked up 15 million Spotify streams since its release. On the song, Jay Rock raps about his claim as a true “winner” in the rap game.


Jay Rock “ES Tales” Video

Jay Rock dropped his ‘Redemption’ album last month, and today he returns to the project for “ES Tales.” The video follows him leaving the crib into a 8-bit video game. He drives around the hood watching everything that goes down during a day-in-the-life. Check it out above and enjoy.

After an appearance on the Kendrick Lamar curation Black Panther: The Album, Sacramento’s favorite rapper Mozzy has delivered his own follow-up, “Nobody Knows,” featuring Jay Rock and DCMBR. Black Panther hits all theaters tonight and one of the highlight tracks from the album is Kendrick Lamar, Jay Rock, Future and James Blake‘s “King’s Dead.” In the visual, directed by Dave Free and Jack Begert, the crew is everywhere from a Wolf of Wall Street type of office, to sitting atop a palm tree, a barbershop, the top of a buildings and in the middle of an intersection.
