Jordan Brand has got a brand new collaborative partner in the shape of energy drink giant, Gatorade. The OG Air Jordan will drop in four vibrant colorways that take their inspiration from the much-loved flavors of the sports energy drink. Firstly, the insole will boast the official Gatorade lightning bolt logo alongside the legendary Nike Swoosh, while the heel will also feature a mini lightning bolt. The rest of the shoe remains true to the original construction and will be completely wrapped in bolt-blue. –HB
Jordan Brand officially releases the “Take Flight” pack that includes the aforementioned model alongside matching Air Jordan 5 and 15 iterations. For the G.O.A.T’s fifth signature shoe, the sneaker is rendered in a colorway that draws influences from the P-51 flight bomber jacket, boasting a Sequoia green nubuck upper as well as a Vachetta tan leather tongue and limited edition “Flight” lace locks. Jordan Brand is set to continue Nike’s movie-themed collaborations with stop-motion animation studio, Laika. Previously releasing shoes inspired by the studio’s films such as Coraline, Paranorman and The Boxtrolls, the Swoosh will now tap the film Kubo and the Two Strings for a special drop. Using the Air Jordan 15 as the canvas, designer Tinker Hatfield takes the movie’s expressive battle between good and evil and translates the notion with a mismatched design. Read more…
Jordan Brand dropped a new colorway for its Flow silhouette, outfitting the shoe in a sleek mix of “White” and hints of “Infrared.” The shoe’s upper is constructed from lush leather, featuring perforations throughout with tumbled leather inserts in the forefoot. A large Jumpman logo adorns the heel, while the shoe is set atop a speckled midsole. A hint of “Infrared” is visible in the tongue and sock lining. –HB
Returning in a countless amount of colorways and heights, the Air Jordan 1 is back again in GS form. Using the same colors that would consider its colorway to be “Bred“, you’ll see some differences with the placements of said colors. Switching things up, different materials besides leather are used, such as suede along the toebox. To top it off, the tongue is donned with the unforgettable Jumpman logo.
