The BET Awards have just unveiled their list of nominees for 2018 and Kendrick Lamar & the Migos lead the nominations. Other notables in the running include Drake, Cardi B, SZA, Rihanna, and J. Kendrick Lamar Wins Pulitzer Prize

Kendrick Lamar has been awarded the 2018 Pulitzer Prize for Music. He was given the prestigious honor for last year’s studio album DAMN., described by the Pulitzer Prize as “a virtuosic song collection unified by its vernacular authenticity and rhythmic dynamism that offers affecting vignettes capturing the complexity of modern African-American life.” Read more…

Kudos to Kendrick Lamar, as his most recent studio album, DAMN., has become his third million-selling set in the U.S., according to Nielsen Music. In the tracking week ending March 29, DAMN. sold 4,000 copies, bringing the album’s total sales to 1.002 million. The rapper previously collected million-sellers with ‘To Pimp a Butterfly’ and ‘good kid, m.A.A.d city.’ Read more…
