The Nike Sock Dart made its long-awaited debut on NIKEiD last month, but unfortunately for many of us the customization option was only available in Europe. According to a recent post by Hiroshi Fujiwara’s publication Ring of Colour, sneakerheads across the globe will have the opportunity to put their personal touch beginning June 2, specifically to the sock liner, strap, midsoleand heel element. The laceless sneaker will undoubtedly be a popular option on NIKEiD, especially with the rising temperatures in the coming months. –HB
Nike has announced that a limited NIKEiD sneaker featuring a special “Mamba Day” print will be made available for Kobe Bryant’s last game today. Celebrating his achievements, the all-over black and gold graphics highlight key numbers and dates throughout his career: the dates of his first and last games (11.01.96 and 4.13.16), five World Championships, four All-Star MVP awards, 18 All-Star appearances, 81 points scored in a game, 20 years in the league and his jersey number 24. With Air Max Day just around the corner, Nike will celebrate its iconic sneaker line by inviting the world to collaborate with HTM. In a press release, Nike stated: “Through Nike’s personalization service, NIKEiD, consumers can participate in the artistic process alongside the famed trio via exclusive material and color choices. The exclusive color palettes and materials, informed by the respective designers, explore the stories that have inspired the collective for the past 14 years.” Read more…
The KD 6 “Year of the Horse” is so far a NIKEiD creation that only KD himself has his hands on. With that being said, we wouldn’t be surprised to see the option pop up as available sooner or later. This time around we’ve got a much better look at the KD shoes courtesy of some official images.
