adidas 25th Anniversary NMD R1

For the 25th anniversary Shoe Palace, the retailer collaborated with adidas for a special NMD R1. The special incarnation of the NMD 1 features a Shoe Palace specific color palette of Black, Red and White with the model’s iconic Three Stripe branding on the sides plus the NMD R1’s laces. Shoe Palace 25th Anniversary branding is present throughout the silhouette, including the pull tab and the lace bar. These are out now! –HB

adidas NMD_R1 Logo Centric Update

The popular runner sports a classic black and white colorway with updated branding accents across the upper. A tonal “Core Black” knit upper is accented with contrast adidas Trefoil branding in white at the quarter panel and along the laces. The new logo elements are matched with the usual branding touches at the EVA plug and heel pull tab, while a full-length white BOOST midsole completes the black and white scheme. This is already available overseas and a stateside release is coming soon. –HB

Slated to join the growing lineup later this fall is this multicolored version, using red, white and blue accents to liven up the stark black base. A mesh textile swarms the upper, with the side panel Three Stripes emblem laying claim to the featured color injections. Other key attributes include the red and black EVA inserts, full-length BOOST midsole, and signature branding accents hitting the heel counter/pull tab and tongue. adidas NMD R1 “Datamosh 2.0” Pack

adidas’s signature NMD R1 silhouette once again is called upon to reinterpret the act of datamoshing – “a process of data corrupting and manipulating where moving images are being moshed together to achieve visual effects.” Seen above in blue/black and red/green color schemes, both sneakers highlight distorted images throughout the majority of its uppers — artistically similar to last year’s release. This time around the simple running silhouette features a tonal grey mesh upper dressed with reflective 3M Three Stripes and Trefoil branding and NMD-styled heel tabs. Moving to the rear of the shoe, we find a translucent heel counter laid over a snow camo style print expressing a complimentary color palette. Finally a pure white BOOST midsole accented by black TPU bumpers and a matching rubber outsole rounds up the design of the shoe. –HB

Opting for darker tones, the NMD R1 and the NMD R1 Primeknit are given black and red makeovers that highlight the standout elements on the two models.
