premier-nike-sb-stefan-janoski-max-fish-ladder-first-look-1Grand Rapids-based Premier took to Twitter earlier today to offer up the first look at its latest collaborative endeavor: a “Fish Ladder” take on the Nike SB Stefan Janoski Max. A nod to the fish ladders in the Michigan city that help facilitate the natural migration patterns of various species, the kicks come decked out in black and pink with faux scales and salmon flesh-like detailing. Beginning with a night sky-inspired black upper, the unique kicks see reflective “starlight” motifs at the heel and Swoosh — inspired by the reds and pinks of intense solar activity that appear at high altitudes — while a glowing green outsole serves as a nod to the wavelengths of the aurora that are visible at lower altitudes. Finally, custom “Wavelength” Premier branding can be found at both the tongue tag and sock liner.
