Cozz first caught everyone’s attention with his 2014 breakout song “Dreams.” The single helped the South Central rapper get signed to J. Cole’s label Dreamville, an imprint of Interscope Records. Here, Cozz reflects on personal doubts and lingering negative thoughts. He created the song during an emotional time in his life while dealing with relationship turmoil and problems with friends. Cozz flips all of his problems into cathartic bars and finds confidence as an artist.
