The Nike Air Max 97 is back with a new look to its “Silver Bullet” iteration. This time around its reflective 3M detailing is added to the entire paneling rather than just the piping. Red accents return to the heel and outsole with the upper’s branding incorporating black Swoosh logos on the lateral and medial sides and the tongues adding a silver Swoosh on top of a black background. –HB
The Air Jordan 13 Retro is officially set to undergo a makeover that is new for the silhouette. The latest retro in a long line of released Air Jordan 13′s will feature reflective material on the quilted upper and toe box. It is then finished with black suede on the heel, and black leather on the tongue. The bottom sole is outlined with infrared, in complementary fashion with the infrared “Jumpman” logo for added pop. The Air Jordan 13 Retro “Reflective Silver” will be available on October 4 at Nike for $130.
This new pair gives us a twist on a familiar style not from an AF1, but rather, from an SB, as in this very silhouette as issued by Nike Skateboarding. The combination of silver side panel and Swoosh is synonymous with the 2006 ‘Mork & Mindy’ Dunk High SB, but elsewhere, there’s at least one degree of separation that makes the similar layout less obvious. The upper is done in blue suede, the Swooshes are perforated, and a grey outsole is used in lieu of multicolor translucency. The overall impact is similar and these go a step further with 3M reflectivity on the silver parts!
