Not long ago Nike equipped the most-popular Sock Dart SE silhouette in a breathable knit upper construction. With that is a series of new colorways of the newly revamped runner spanning gray, white and orange hues. Now, the Swoosh has offered fans a better look at the “Sail/Cobblestone” iteration. The pared-back rendition exudes elegance with its noticeable gradient motif alongside a crisp white molded midsole for a smooth contrast. The low-top sneaker is fitted with the signature midfoot strap with adjustable closure for personalized comfortability. –HB
Given its predominately mesh construction, the Sock Dart isn’t exactly the best pair of Nikes to rock in the winter’s inclement weather. Thankfully, however, the Swoosh is changing all that with its latest SE rendition of the low-top silhouette. This 2017 release keeps the look of the original intact, but adds a synthetic water-repellant coating to the majority of the bootie, thus making these your best Sock Dart option for the season at hand. The Swoosh just dropped its own in-house version of the kicks. Essentially the “un-fragment” version of the release, the kicks — which first surfaced in November of 2015 — are nearly identical to their Hiroshi Fujiwara-designed predecessor, coupling an obsidian upper with a white midsole, matching heel and translucent strap. And, if the blue pair isn’t your cup of tea, there’s a new “Gym Red” colorway, too. Both are available online from nike.com now for $130 per pair. –HB
The former receives yet another great makeover with the ”Light Bone” colorway, which sees the lacelesssneaker rendered in a light beige base and a contrasting crisp white midsole. A gum outsole provides the finish touch to the release. Unfortunately this latest colorway is only available for purchase in women’s sizes, but if it proves to be a hit, the Swoosh will surely look into releasing something similar for men in the near future. –HB
Nike recently blessed female sneakerheads with a “Night Maroon” edition of the cult favorite Sock Dart and now NSW is back with more takes on the silhouette — this time for men. If you missed out on last month’s clean black and white colorway, NSW has you covered with the long-awaited “Triple Black” make-upand has also dropped a brand new grey look — one that sees a knit jacquard upper with a matching molded midfoot strap as a black rubber outsole and speckled white midsole appear below. –HB
Just last week, Nike announced the customizable Sock Dart would be available not only in Europe, but worldwide. Following that, a new customizable option appeared online — a glow-in-the-dark strap. Hopefully this marks just the first of many new interesting additions to the Sock Dart’s selection in the future. A cool option if you’re a night runner, check out the glow-in-the-dark strap and other choices here. –HB
After offering a first look at a “Night Maroon” pair of Nike Sock Darts, we have a first look at the full pack releasing this fall. While the shoe is largely known as the first sneaker to feature a computerized knit construction, it’s always featured monochromatic color-block renderings. Now, the shoe is donning two-tone styling with a marled knit-inspired upper in both a black and a navy colorway. Read more…
