The Nike React Element 55 is back with a new colorway. The non-translucent version of the model sports “Team Red” this time around with black and white added to its heel taping and foam sole unit, respectively. On the tongue, you’ll find a lighter shade of red that’s met with a slightly darker hue found on the midsole’s plugs. Lastly, the lateral side and heel’s Swoosh logo is dipped in reflective silver for a final dose pop tones. –HB
Nike makes creative use of textured leather, suede, and mesh, applying ample doses of each throughout the shoe’s upper. Silver found on the wavy divider line, lacing system and heel pull tab, not to mention the clean strip of white hitting the midsole help break up the sea of red found elsewhere. Priced at $170, these new Nike Air Max 98s are now available overseas with a stateside release expected soon. –HB

Available today at select international retailers like Titolo, the new Huarache models are slated for a stateside release in October. –HB

One of the more hotly debated narratives for this NFL season has been whether the Washington DC team should change its name. It’s worth noting that absolutely no one has suggested the Redskins change their colors, because the combination of burgundy and gold is a perfect look for a game played primarily during the fall season. And it looks great on sneakers, too, as the Nike Air Huarache proves here with a new colorway that gets in on the tonal zebra look we’d enjoyed on the Dark Loden/Laser Orange release about a month ago. This Team Red/Volt makeup is one you can see in greater detail below, then grab yours at Nike Sportswear stores like Titolo. -Box Kev [more…]
