Nike’s Air Max Day collection for 2017 is chock full of coveted kicks. Sure to be one of the drop’s most coveted designs is the special edition of the Air Max 1 Ultra 2.0. A nod to the aforementioned red look of the 1987 original, this take on the Air Max sports the familiar combination of red, grey, and white, but modernizes the construction with lightweight Ultra tooling and seamless overlays. Perhaps best of all, a celebratory nod to Air Max Day appears right on the tongue. Expect these to be available beginning March 16. –HB
Having just recently featured its bold “Bright Crimson” counterpart, we learn that the Nike Air Max 90 Ultra 2.0 Flyknit silhouette will soon drop in a timeless black and white colorway iteration. A modern take on the iconic runner, the uppers feature an intricate Flyknit construction, which when paired with the hyperfuse overlays make for a lightweight, yet sturdy shoe. Leading up to the heavily-hyped Air Max Day Collection set to drop on March 26, this new model is scheduled for a March 2 release. –HB
Last week we saw Nike debut a Flyknit upgrade to its Air Max 1, which is now the Air Max 1 Ultra. Naturally, the Air Max 90 Ultra 2.0 is getting the same treatment. The most notable upgrade to the running-now-lifestyle shoe is its ”split” color-blocking.
