Kendrick Lamar’s latest album ‘untitled unmastered’ has debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. In the week ending March 10, the project earned 178,000 equivalent album units, or 142,000 in album sales. The surprise LP gives Lamar his second chart-topping release in under a year following his sophomore album, ‘To Pimp a Butterfly,’ which dropped on March 16 and garnered 363,000 equivalent units in its first week with 324,000 in pure album sales. Kendrick Lamar surprised the world with his new project and now there’s something more for the fans. Today at 4PM PST Kendrick and TDE will be holding a lyric contest on twitter. Kanye West recently announced that he will not be releasing music in CD format anymore, but that’s not something that will catch, at least in my opinion. After releasing his surprise project ‘untitled umastered’ last Friday, Kendrick Lamar will release physical CDs into stores sometime this week. TDE’s CEO Anthony Tiffith also reveals that vinyl copies are being made as well. Keep it locked in as to when you can get your hands on one!
