For the latest Air More Uptempo to hit headlines, Nike opts for over-sized “AIR” branding and employs 3M that’s darker than usual. While all-black shoes are almost always a guaranteed sell-out for manufacturers, the Swoosh’s designers decided to put a more forward-thinking spin on this one. The shoe itself is set to retail for $160 come March 17. Previously, the Nike Air More Money launched with the internationally-themed “Global Currency” pack. –HB
Nike is applying the “Tri-Color” theme to its Air More Uptempo for the first time, and they will be making their debut this August. The kicks feature three top-to-bottom panels of tonal black, grey and white that demarcate the signature “AIR” lettering. The midsole matches the shoe’s tri-blend upper with colored Nike Swoosh logos throughout. These are scheduled for an August 12 release. It will be available at select Nike Sportswear retailers and Nike’s web store at $160. –HB

One of the most distinctive basketball sneakers ever created, Nike’s Air More Uptempo was a staple of the late ’90s basketball scene and a footwear favorite both on and off the court. The hardwood icon — which turns twenty this year — has already released in several OG colorways, and will be accompanied by new and upcoming color schemes like the above version in white and Gym Red. Perhaps the boldest of the 2016 drops, the nostalgic design sports familiar features like three visible Air-Sole units and the sneaker’s iconic ‘Air’ branding in leather, resulting in a can’t-miss take on the Pippen-endorsed silhouette. –HB
