Coming in monochromatic, the two upcoming colorways follow the inside-out design sensibility that the current Louis Vuitton Artistic Director established with his first “The Ten” Nike collaboration. Mostly maintaining solid color looks, the “All-Black” and “All-White” colorways feature tonal midfoot cages and matching Air Presto midsoles. While contrasts come in the form of the “AIR” text hit at the heel, red stitching on the tongue, orange Swoosh tab and the signature red zip tie adornment. Read more…
Confirmed launch dates have finally emerged for the upcoming Virgil Abloh x Nike Air Presto pack. “The Ten” series continues its expansion as these collaborative Air Prestos — one in all-black and another in all-white — follow the recent launch of a UNC-inspired Air Jordan 1. Each silhouette features the same design cues as the original special-edition Air Presto, including a red zip-tie, industrial branding and shifted logos. These will kick things off in black on July 27, with the white colorway to follow on August 3. –HB
Set to arrive in June, The “Polar Opposites” pack will include a black and white version of the popular Air Presto silhouette reworked by Virgil. On the black version, a metallic silver Swoosh is stitched on with an orange tab, “AIR” is written in white on the heel strap, and the deconstructed tongue shows gray stuffing while sporting red stitches and a red/white Nike branded tab. The sneaker is almost here, and you can register for your chance to get your hands on a pair. The shoe’s most striking feature is the use of a translucent upper to showcase details of the silhouette’s original construction. Other features include classic Off-White™ branding — referencing Malden, the town in which Converse was founded — as well as signature quotation marks around the words “Vulcanized,” “Right,” “Left” and “Shoelaces.” Each pair is set to retail for $130 and you can register to buy a pair via the Converse web store now. –HB
At the end of March we shared a duo of potential Virgil Abloh x Nike Blazer Studio Mid colorways. Today a new image has surfaced of a possible Nike Air Force 1 Low collab in black/white. The probable drop is similar to the exclusive MoMA pair that launched back in January. Expected to arrive in October, the pair mirrors the construction on the translucent iteration from “The Ten’s” original drop. –HB
Following imagery of the new “Canvas” and “Black” Virgil Abloh x Nike Blazers, official shots have emerged of the next collaborative Nike Air VaporMax. The upcoming black colorway continues Abloh’s deconstructed aesthetic with unfinished stitching, industrial branding on each side and Off-White‘s™ signature red zip-tie. The tandem switches things up with a translucent VaporMax unit in comparison to the original blacked-out iteration. –HB
It seems official imagery of the next Off-White™-branded, Virgil Abloh-designed collaboration with Nike has been revealed. The “AIR” writing on the midsole appears in contrasting black print, while the trademark neon orange tab is found sewn into the retooled metallic silver Swoosh — notice how it’s also slightly misaligned with the perforations of the original Nike Swoosh location. On the back, a gloss sealing stripe covers the rear tab down to the lower heel, while the interior is lined with light blue exposed foam padding and an Off-White™ and Nike co-branded insole. –HB
